At Metrodata Services, Inc. we continually monitor new changes in compliance requirements for background screening. Today, we’re sharing a recent update that you should be aware of.
Here is what changed:
As part of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), one of the required notices is “A Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.” The verbiage in this summary was just updated – here is the most recent version.
Here is what you need to do:
This new FCRA Summary of Rights should replace any existing document which you are currently utilizing. If you currently use our Applicant Management Center (AMC) or if you are migrated over to our secondary platform for integrated ordering, the forms have been properly changed and uploaded for the e-sign option. If you currently supply your candidates with paper documentation, please make sure you are using the updated version of this specific document: FCRA Summary of Rights.
Though these updates are non-substantive, you must ensure you use this most recent version to limit your risk of potential FCRA violations.
We are constantly monitoring updates like these and will be sure to inform you of any additional changes that we uncover. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at anytime.
